This year we decided to try something new and plunge into the work of awards, so, not only did we undertake the construction of a show garden at this years RHS Tatton Flower Show for designer Lily Gomm, but we also entered ourselves into a few Landscaping Industry awards. This week, we were delighted to find out that we have been shortlisted for two categories in the APL (Association of Professional Landscapers) 2018 Awards. The APL have been recognising and rewarding it’s members for their achievements and commitment to the industry since 1995, and received it’s highest number of entries ever this year, all of the highest standard. The judging panel, which consisted of industry experts (Bob Sweet, Steve Smith, Robin Templar-Williams, Phil Tremayne and Richard Barnard as chief judge), have had some tough decisions to make, which is hwy we are so honoured to be shortlisted.
Our first shortlisted project is for our outdoor show area at our offices at Urban HQ in the Hard Landscaping category. We obviously love this space, not only for showcasing our talents and products, but we can host a pretty mean event here, and we are so pleased that these qualities have been spotted by the respected industry judges in the panel for the APL Awards. Our second shortlisted entry in in the Commercial Garden Category and is a fantastic seaside themed garden, designed by Agathoclis Beckmann, for the FED Heathlands Village Care Home. The awards take place in March 2018, and the competition is tough! We’ve got a few months to wait, but are looking forward to the experience, fingers crossed!
