Japanese Influence The clients brief for the design of this garden was to turn the rear garden into a private sanctuary to link both sides together and create a style to fuse with the new glass extension with a slightly japanese twist. The split level decking created an extended area at the same level as the glass room and provided a smooth sensual area to walk out onto using Ipe hardwood. A dry stream created carefully from a variety of sized sea worn cobbles and a subtle pebble water feature brought a gentle relaxing sound and visual effect to the garden along with subtle up-lighting. Rock features, with stone shapes hand picked from the quarry, were carefully placed amongst the gravel. AutoViewer requires JavaScript and the Flash Player. Get Flash here. |
